I love the create or die image, as seen on gapingvoid. The squirly symbol in the middle is a shape that pleases me no end (I don't know why). And one I see in many places. It's reminiscent of the spiral of life symbol. I just really like the shape. So I was drawn to this creation of Hugh MacLeod's. And the message that goes with it. Uncompromising.
Create or die! You can't get much clearer than that. It's like a mantra to ponder. And, if you don't create (connect to who you are/find yourself/become who you should really be), you die (lose your self and maybe lose your soul).
The page I keep re-reading the most is evil plans. Because so much of it relates to ... who are you really? Where does your creativity come from? The white pebble stuff. The digging deep and finding that vein of gold. The one that's unique only to you.
From Hugh:
LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE. If it doesn't feel that way to you, you're doing something wrong. I don't care how old you are, or how many responsibilities you have. Life is not baseball. God only gave us one inning. And this just sings to me (go read the rest):
The Hunger to channel The Divine.A few weeks ago Hugh sent out a link in his newsletter to his ignore everybody image. So, I printed out both images and put them in a frame to display as cube art in my back bedroom office. I like all the words.
The Hunger to actually feel alive.
The Hunger will give you everything. And it will take from you, everything. It will cost you your life, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
But knowing this, of course, is what ultimately sets you free.
